Will I get chance into 0-6 year PharmD program with these results?

Hello everyone,
I have got 1740 in SAT(530 in CR,640 in Math,570 in writing).I have graduated from high school this year.I have taken GCE A level n got A(math),B(Physics),B(Chemistry).Though I do not have biology in my A level but I took it at my secondary and high school and did very good.I know 6 year PHARMD is very competitive now a days.But i want to know where I can get chances easily with this poor result? I live outside USA but I am coming here with an DV immigrant visa(Shall get a green card after arriving). Another important question,How much do I need to pay at the time of entrance into a pharmacy school and When Shall I be considered as a in state student?

Had this posted before in the wrong section…

I’m not going to name where I work…

But where I work as a cashier we are required to Sell Plus Memberships to our members. We’re supposed to get two a day.

What I do to get these "pluses" is simply hit the 1,2,3, enter sequence on my register and it tells me how much the plus upgrade will be for that particular member.

I then go through my pitch…

"Has anyone talked to you about Plus (or Plus Membership)…? What it is is it’s an upgrade to your regular membership. With it you a get a 0 Travel Voucher that you can use on sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, or you can even use it on a cruise. I then go on to say, "You can get discounts up to 50% on Pharmacy and Optical at _______ and _______. If the member’s Plus is rated above I then say, "You also qualify for a gift card today to ______ or ______. I then say, "With any purchase of an extended warranty, you’re going to get another year added to it." Then I ask the member if they have Roadside Assistance…Most of them say that they have AAA and that they are paying a year for it. I then tell them that if they decided to get Roadside Assistance through us it is only per year.

To get them hooked I say the price of the plus upgrade. "For you today this upgrade would only be .26, normally it is 0. If you decide that you don’t like the Plus, you can bring it back to us within 30 days and say you don’t like and they will give you a full refund and you keep the Travel Voucher."

I then wait for them to say, yes or no.

What I am wondering…Is my pitch that good or am I just getting lucky. Tonight I got 7 Pluses. The other day I got 3. Other days I have gotten like 1 or 2. I have only been working there a month.

How much Provigil is considered dangerous and for how long?

I have MS, and for many years have been on 400 mg daily of Provigil and 60 mg daily of Adderall for extreme chronic fatigue. Problem is, somehow (don’t ask…I’ve researched every logical and illogical cause), 11 days of my Adderall "dissappeared." Poof! Gone. Well, I had an "emergency" paper Rx that I tried to take to the pharmacy….but they won’t fill it because my insurance says I can’t have refilled until the 11 days are up. This is day 3 now without it. I can’t stop falling asleep at work. I JUST got off short term disability and pulled my "ADA" card to get a schedule change to help with my tendency to fall asleep at work (am a home transcriptionist). So….is 600 mg Provigil dangerous, and more specifically, would it be for 8-9 days only? Any other stimulant suggestions? (Which may be moot b/c of all of my drugs and their interactions…but I’m willing to hear anything…) Thanks…
Angela–you rock! That was FAST…and great info. I will check with my pharmacy to see if they would do that. Another question: because the price is prohibitive (even generic)…do you think the pharmacy would fill 1/2 the Rx??

Is Medical Marijuana Effective?

I learned from a pharmacy tech teacher that marijuana is only proven to help eating disorders and terminally ill patients (cancer/aids) to boost their appetite. I was told it is not proven to help people sleep or for anxiety or any of the problems medicinal marijuana doctors are using to get people to buy a med card. Is this true?

I suffer from severe anxiety. To the point where if I am in any stressful situation I get hives and sweat uncontrollably and suffer from panic attacks and I am a young woman who is held back from so many social events and schooling because of this anxiety and it’s just no way to live. I have been on a number of drugs which all make me feel very zombie-ish. I am currently on Paxel which is making me very unfocused and too laid back to even talk. Many other drugs I have been on have way too many side effects and a main one is sexual side effect.

I know a lot of people getting marijuana for depression and anxiety. But I am very on the fence about it. I don’t want to take any pills, but I do not want to resort to marijuana unless it is proven to help.

Will you give your opinions to me whether you are a medical marijuana patient or not?

Ok here is the long and short of it–i am about 5 months pregnant. I have been puking all day due to a stomach bug (I can’t even keep water down), and my doctor was a bit concerned. So he prescribed me some meds to help me.. No problems there, the meds he said were perfectly safe. So I sent hubby to go get the meds along with my ID and my prescription card. When he got home, I took a pill immediatly. I then began to read the label, and here the medicine was *not* for me, but for someone else, for something completely different. I called the doc really upset, and he said I should be ok–the med I took was a really small dose. But I am pretty shaken up. The pharmacy knows they screwed up, and were apologizing to me, but I can’t help but think about what could have potentially happened What if I took something really harmful to my baby??

Should I make a big issue out of this? Is there anyone I can call and complain to about what happened?
Btw this is a big name pharmacy too–it isn’t a mom and pop store.
