i recently recieved a letter from my health insurance company that then somehow sent my private information (including my name, date of birth, perscription number, insurance card holder id, and social security #) to a random pharmacy. they supposedly clear up the mishap and had my information destroyed from the pharmacy, however i am still worried that my info could have been stolen. does this break any privacy laws and are their any legal actions that can be taken.

thing is how would have ever known if they had not told you………………I would ask HOW this happened and just what steps they are taking to stop this from happening again.
You could ask for a years free credit reporting [this is the norm from what I have seen with other breaches of information] but other than that UNLESS something happens and it is traced back to this breach there is little you could do.
