Is it true nationwide U.K Visa credit card don’t let you make foreign transanctions through the internet?

Am from U.K & wanted to make an foreign online transanctio i.e buying from a forieign outlet such as online pharmacy. But i’ve been told nationwide U.K credit cards don’t accept this and therefore would decline. Can anybody verify this whether this is true.

Do all British Banks who issue credit cards disallow certain transanctions? i thought it was up to the customer where and who from they want to buy.

Anybody used their credit card to buy goods from the Internet through foreign sites?

Thanks!.

That may be peculiar to Nationwide, but even their Terms & Conditions does not distinguish between domestic versus international internet transactions.
I would suggest making a small trial purchase to see if it goes through.

    5. What you can use your card for
    (a) You can use your credit card or credit card details to carry out transactions using the services available to you as a cardholder. You will be asked to sign or input your PIN for transactions but telephone, internet and mail order transactions can be carried out just using your credit card details. You will need your PIN to use your credit card to withdraw cash from a cash machine.
