Prescription eyeglasses?

I lost my eyeglasses. I am nearsighted. I go to Lenscrafters for my eye exams and prescription glasses. However, to replace my lost glasses, it’s going to cost me 0 (with the discount). Can I just go to Lenscrafters and ask for a prescription but buy my eyeglasses somewhere else? Any recommendations?
